JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSOCIATE WOUND CARE SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY:

Position reports to a Senior Wound Care Specialist (territory manager). In this role, the employee works in collaboration with their supervisor/manager to increase sales in the respective territory. The employee will attend and participate in sales calls, provide support for in-servicing and special projects, and contribute to achievement of business goals. Sales focus will be targeted to multiple call points and stakeholders throughout the continuum of care including Acute Care Hospitals, Wound Care Clinics, Hospital Networks, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and Home Health Agencies. This position requires up to 50% travel within the region or territory.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support compliance and principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting organizational assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliances and adhering to applicable local laws and regulations and also Hydrofera’s policies and procedures.

· Assist manager/supervisor to meet targets for specific projects / tasks within scope:

o Product support / education

o Inservice & follow up, especially for newly listed formularies, contracts, product launches

o Lunch n Learns

o Remote area coverage and cover for overlapping schedules

o Attend conferences (regional/national) as required

· Develop clinical, industry and product knowledge from mentors (sales, clinical and marketing), preceptorship (learn first hand what wound care clinicians do) and by attending company training and industry programs

· Build and maintain positive working relationship with customers

· Keep detailed records of all contacts and information, including in SalesForce.com

· Interact with advanced practice clinicians (physicians and nurses) to help shape product choice decisions

· Learn and execute consultative selling skills – contact customers, identifying needs, determining products that meet their needs, closing the sale and providing after-sales follow up

· Complete all administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in marketing, business, clinical sciences, STEM or related preferred
  • One year of sales/marketing experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or related fields preferred. Experience in medical and science field encouraged to apply.
  • Strong skills in the following: Communication, Teamwork, Project Management, Continuous Improvement
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
